1. Taking evening walks:
As the weather has been so lovely, when Mark finishes work we have been going for evening walks, either around the block or to nearby locations. It's been great to see so many great places on my doorstep!
2. Dot sleeping through again:
Dot had been sleeping through for a while, but when she hit 4 months old, it suddenly stopped and she was up every few hours. This went on got nearly a month. However, this past week, Dot has gone back to sleeping through. Phew!
3. Wedding Anniversary:
At the beginning of the month, I celebrated my second wedding anniversary. I'm extremely lucky to be happily married to my soulmate and can't believe that it has only been two years. It seems like we have been together forever....in a good way!
4. No more baby jabs:
Dot has finally had all of her baby jabs, at least until she's a year old. :)
5. Coffee mornings with my sister:
Every week, usually more than once (!) my sister and I walk into town and treat ourselves to a cup of tea or coffee (or sometimes a yummy chocolate related drink!). It's great to catch up while the babies nap in their pushchairs and have a good laugh.
This brings me neatly onto
I know I'm late to the party, but thanks to my sister, I've discovered Costa. I'm not a fan of coffee and so never go into coffee shops, however that has all changed. I love Costa as they have great service and a great selection, even for those who don't like coffee.
7. End of the football season:
Now I like football and met my husband at our local football ground, but I'm happy that the football season has come to an end. As my husband works 6 days a week and then goes to the football on a Saturday afternoon, we don't spend as much time together as a family as we would like, so it's nice to be able to plan a bit of family time.
8. The weather:
The weather recently has been beautiful. I'm not one for sun normally- we don't get on- but it's nice after all the rain and cold to see the sun shining.
9. Mikey being able to eat out:
As you may or may not know, Mikey has severe food allergies and we don't usually eat out. This changed last weekend when we ate out as a family. You can read about it here.
10. Mikey being a great big brother:
Like most big brothers, Mikey dotes on his baby sister and is always playing with her, cuddling her or making her laugh. This past week though, he's surpassed this. After doing some housework, I came back into the living room to find Mikey reading and teaching Dot her numbers. He was so engrossed, he didn't notice me sit and watch them. It was so lovely!
