A lovely evening walk

Thursday, 23 April 2015

Last night we went for a lovely evening walk at Wakerley Woods, which is part of Rockingham Forest.

As it's only 15 minutes away, we regularly go for walks, but this was the first evening walk we've taken there. It was so beautiful.

It was lovely to see what's growing and what wildlife we could see, Every time we go, we see something different. It's always changing.

Wakerley Woods is great because although it appears two only have to routes to follow (a third if you're cycling) there are so many different paths to follow, and I don't think we've ever gone the same way twice!

We only go for a walk for an hour or so, but you can stay for ages. Near the car park, there's a picnic area and an open area to play if you fancy taking a break from walking.
I think that Wakerley Woods is a brilliant place. It's always so quiet and peaceful, and even though there are other people enjoying it too, you feel like you're the only ones there.
