I'm now a Stay at Home Mum!

It is official. I'm now a stay at home mum!

I am no longer a Learning Support Assistant at a secondary school. I will miss the girls that I taught and helped and I will miss some of my friends, but I'm really excited about the new adventure that lies ahead.

Don't get me wrong. It's scary. I've worked since I was 13 years old, starting with a Sunday paper round, and, (my husband will laugh because I'm mentioning it again) I've usually been in a couple of jobs at a time.

But being on maternity leave has definitely shown me what is important and that is FAMILY.

Growing up, we were taught that if you wanted something, you have to work for it and I hope that I've passed this lesson onto Mikey, but now is the time when I can be the mum that I've always wanted to be.
A mum that is there to take the kids to school, to play after school and not have to worry about a late shift or only getting home in time for the bedtime routine.

My mum was a stay at home mum until we all went to school and even then, she was at home when we were. I didn't know she worked until I was older! It was great to know that mum was always there, and still is.

I have always aspired to be a mum just like her and now I'm on my way!

Let the adventures begin :)
